October 1, 2010 Dausha Communications has been around for 13 years. Through its history, this site has experienced numerous make-overs and purpose changes. This year is no different.
I started blogging in November 2007, apparently a popular time, as the term Blog was coined the following month (actually weblog, which was shortened a few months later). The site had manually updated HTML pages with server-side includes. I threw out the includes in 2003 and have used the same core software since 2004. “If a thing ain't broke…”
Blogging originally focused on my life events, and the viewers were a chosen few family members and ex-girlfriends. I tried a bit of politics, but then shifted to technical issues. It went idle for a few years as I got distracted by work and life. The oldest page still on the site was created on July 26, 2004.
Now turns a new page, perhaps. In 2005, myself and a few others wrote the Macropedia Terradoma Imperium edition, which I finally got published in 2009. Since then, I tried to write a novel in the milieu described in the Macropedia. That one stalled out; but I'm gearing up to write its sequel. That's helping me repair the old novel and prepare for NaNoWriMo 2010.
Because of this shift in focus, I've chosen to shift this site again to support my publication efforts.
